Vacation!!! WooHoo! That may be kid’s excitement screaming, but mine isn’t far behind! Farmers and moms-of-little-kids don’t get regular vacations, and I just so happen to both! Lol.
With the milk cows and February hay feeding and goat/sheep/pig/bottle calf care we are SUPER blessed to have highly valued friends (partly valued because of chore abilities) that’s mostly willing to work the farm for THREE WHOLE DAYS!!! Something dying on the farm or breaking is acceptable as totally normal when we have a leave of absence over 6hrs. We’re just relieved when it’s not too bad.
Where are we going?? East to Kentucky! Not exactly a tropical beach in Florida (they’re calling for snow) but we want visit the Ark Encounter, and it’s big enough to let the kids move around inside!
Alan’s going to get everything killed at the slaughterhouse by Thursday noon. We’ll stuff most of the house, plus a refrigerator and a spare tire into the van, and take off for a 10hr drive.
45 minutes into the trip we’ll decide AGAIN, that local vacations are more pleasant with young children...hahaha.
Love your blog, Bridgette! You’re honest, smart and funny❤️
