Weather warms, Spring is near…

Writer: deepblueneptunedeepblueneptune

Chickens are working overtime in the egg factory. Overalls and gloves are discarded for shorts and spring sunburns. Fishing poles are dug out from underneath the sleds and calf jackets.

The chicken tractors need repaired…they do every spring! Brooders are getting prepped for full occupation.

Sap taps have been removed, buckets and hoses are washed and safely stashed under the steps til next syrup season.

Lambs are growing like bad weeds in the spring and the ewes are begging to be sheared. Goats are kidding and milk is flooding the extra fridges.

Transplanting garden seedlings and disbudding goat kids is high on the priority list.

Picnics and camping. Beach fish fry’s will be followed by swimming and watermelon and it’ll be summer in full swing again!

Crickets and whippoorwills, flowers on the breeze.

Sweat, flies, and fans coming soon!
